HR Employment Specialist

As an HR Employment Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert guidance on employment law and human resources matters. Your expertise will be essential in delivering high-quality support to our clients, ensuring compliance and best practices in HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for clients, offering professional advice via phone and email on various employment law issues.
- Provide informed recommendations that balance best practices with practical solutions, clearly outlining potential risks and liabilities.
- Demonstrate a strong track record in advising on intricate employment law challenges, including but not limited to redundancies, disciplinary actions, grievances, TUPE, absence management, and settlement agreements.
- Collaborate effectively with consultancy, advice line, and business development teams to ensure consistent and comprehensive client support.
- Manage a select portfolio of clients, adhering to established service levels and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Engage in ad-hoc consultancy projects as required, which may involve travel to client locations.
- Create and publish insightful articles on employment law topics for our website and other platforms.
- Support the out-of-hours service, providing 24/7 telephone coverage on a rotational basis.
- Possesses a friendly demeanor with strong decision-making and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to analyze client information effectively, showcasing commercial awareness and adaptability.
- Exhibits tact, diplomacy, and exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Maintains a high level of integrity and professionalism, with a self-motivated approach to work.
- Capable of taking initiative and managing priorities efficiently, particularly under tight deadlines.
- Qualified or pursuing Level 5 certification (preferred).
- Experience in general HR roles dealing with complex employee relations and HR issues.
- Proficient in drafting and advising on HR policies and procedures, with up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Skilled in organizing and prioritizing workload effectively.
- Able to work collaboratively within a team and independently.
- Proficient in IT, particularly with Windows applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Possession of a driving license and access to a vehicle for potential travel (preferred).
