About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to join our team at Lorien, a leading provider of STEM services. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assurance, management, and control of cyber security on behalf of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Report Systemic Weaknesses: Conduct regular assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and weaknesses in our clients' cyber security controls.
  • Develop and Implement Cyber Health Checks: Design and implement comprehensive cyber health checks to ensure the identification of vulnerabilities and testing of cyber security controls.
  • Investigate and Report Security Incidents: Investigate and report security incidents or breaches of security policy in accordance with local procedures and guidance.
  • Chair Cyber Security Working Groups: Lead and chair cyber security working groups to ensure effective collaboration and communication among stakeholders.
  • Represent Cyber Security on Change Advisory Board: Represent the cyber security function on the Change Advisory Board to ensure that security considerations are taken into account during change management processes.
  • Manage Compliance and Risk: Manage compliance with organisational commitments to Codes of Connection with partners and ensure that all known risks are appropriately assessed and risk treatment plans are in place.
  • Develop and Maintain Cyber Security Policy: Contribute to the development and maintenance of cyber security policy and ensure that it is aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Promote a Culture of Information Security Awareness: Promote a culture of information security awareness within the organisation and ensure that all employees understand their role in maintaining the security of our clients' systems.
  • Plan and Conduct Internal and Second-Party Audits: Plan and conduct a programme of internal and second-party audits to measure compliance with security policy and associated standards.
  • Manage a Team of Security Analysts: May manage a team of Security Analysts on assigned client engagements.
Requirements
  • Broad Technical Background in ICT: Possess a broad technical background in ICT, including experience with cyber security technologies and systems.
  • ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) Certified: Hold a valid ISACA Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification.
  • Strong Knowledge and Experience with ISO27001:2013 Standard: Possess strong knowledge and experience with the ISO27001:2013 standard, including experience with implementing and auditing the standard.
  • Certified ISO27001:2013 Lead Implementer and/or Lead Auditor: Hold a valid certification as a Lead Implementer and/or Lead Auditor for the ISO27001:2013 standard.
  • Graduate or Similar Educational Level: Possess a graduate or similar educational level, preferably in a field related to cyber security or ICT.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Stakeholder Management: Possess strong stakeholder management skills, including experience with managing relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications
  • ISO 22301 Lead Implementer and/or Lead Auditor Certified: Hold a valid certification as a Lead Implementer and/or Lead Auditor for the ISO 22301 standard.
  • PCI-DSS Internal Security Auditor (PCI ISA) Certified: Hold a valid certification as a PCI-DSS Internal Security Auditor (PCI ISA).
  • CESG Certified Professional (CCP) ITSO Certified: Hold a valid certification as a CESG Certified Professional (CCP) ITSO.
  • ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certified: Hold a valid certification as a ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certified: Hold a valid certification as a ISC2 Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain Security Check (SC) vetting.
