Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join our team at Blue Octopus Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our community development team, you will be responsible for delivering a proactive service that promotes sustainable tenancies and positive outcomes for the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a neighbourhood patch, working closely with local stakeholders to develop and implement effective community engagement strategies.
  • Deliver a high-quality service that meets the needs of our customers, ensuring that they receive the support and guidance required to maintain sustainable tenancies.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to identify and address community needs, developing and implementing solutions that promote positive outcomes.
  • Conduct regular community outreach and engagement activities, building relationships with local residents, community groups, and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement strategies, making recommendations for improvement and ensuring that best practices are shared across the organization.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Neighbourhood Housing Officer or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of community development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex community issues.
  • Knowledge of community engagement strategies and practices, with the ability to develop and implement effective programs.
