Maths Education Assistant - Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Maths Education Assistant to join our team at EdEx Education Recruitment Careers. As a Maths Education Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Maths department in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3-5
  • Lead small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions to support students with Maths concepts
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement Maths lesson plans
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive Maths learning environment

Person Specification

  • Graduate in Maths or a related field
  • Good A Levels and GCSEs in Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Passion for Maths education and a commitment to student success
