Position Overview:

As a Field Service Engineer, you will respond to customer's field repair and service requests, diagnosing and providing comprehensive details about the nature of the problem to the customer and Finning to create a quote as per the request of the customer within a cost and time effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Customer Focus: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of customer issues.
  2. Technical Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of plant equipment to diagnose and repair complex issues.
  3. Site Attendance: Attend customer sites to understand their needs and resolve mechanical or electrical issues in a safe and efficient manner.
  4. Quote Creation: Create quotes for customer requests, taking into account cost and time effective considerations.

Main Job Functions:
  1. Estimate Arrival Time: Provide an estimate of arrival time at customer sites in response to service requests.
  2. Part Requisition: Identify and requisition parts required for repairs, ensuring timely delivery.
  3. Repair and Service: Undertake repair and service work on machines, adhering to agreed work plans.
Requirements:
  1. Knowledge: Possess knowledge in the use of field-based diagnosis tools and equipment.
  2. Operating Experience: Have experience operating heavy earth-moving equipment.
  3. Qualifications: Hold a formally apprenticed training (NVQ Level 3) or equivalent, with experience as a workshop engineer.
  4. Driving License: Possess a valid LDV driving license.
