Job Description

Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a highly motivated and organized Science Technician to join our team. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the science department in maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare and set up laboratory equipment for science lessons, ensuring all necessary materials are available and in good working order.
  • Assistance and Support: Assist teachers and students during practical experiments, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain laboratory equipment and manage inventory of supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are stocked and easily accessible.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and secure laboratory environment for all students and staff.
  • Departmental Support: Support the science department in organizing activities and science fairs, contributing to the development of engaging and educational programs.

Requirements:

  • Science Background: Strong science background with relevant qualifications or experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of scientific principles and practices.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work independently and in a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and commitment to safety, with a focus on maintaining a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
