The Just Recruitment Group Ltd is currently seeking a Facilities Maintenance Supervisor for a production company within the engineering industry.

This role will focus on overseeing the maintenance crew in both scheduled upkeep and emergency repairs across the facility. The primary objective is to guarantee the efficient daily operation of the organization's machinery and infrastructure.


Standard Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure health and safety compliance within the Maintenance Workshop, for the maintenance team, and for all equipment in the department.
  • Uphold health and safety standards while performing maintenance on any machinery during both planned and unplanned tasks.
  • Develop a proactive maintenance schedule and delegate tasks to your team members.
  • Prepare a monthly report for management detailing the budget requirements for the upcoming three months, including a comprehensive breakdown of planned work and associated costs.
  • Participate in health and safety meetings and contribute to necessary improvements while actively engaging in the process.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of essential spare parts for critical machinery breakdowns.
  • Be prepared to respond promptly (outside of regular working hours) to address machinery breakdowns on-site.
  • Conduct ongoing performance evaluations of your team, including annual reviews.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Completion of an apprenticeship leading to NVQ Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering (Craft and Technician) or Foundry.
  • Management or supervisory training, such as ILM Level 3 or higher.
  • Training in hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Basic electrical qualifications in electrical maintenance.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
  • Ideally, a minimum of 5 years of experience as a maintenance technician or engineer.
  • Preferably, at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in team collaboration (with 2 or more individuals).
  • Ideally possess 5 GCSEs, including Mathematics, English, and Science (grade C or above).
  • Proficient in using Windows and MS Office applications.
    • Particularly skilled in MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Familiarity with Trello is a plus.
