About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Decommissioning Engineer to join our team at Total Resourcing Ltd. As a key member of our Decommissioning and Dismantling team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative engineering solutions to decommissioning challenges across the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in core Decommissioning and Dismantling (D&D) engineering tasks and activities, including decommissioning planning, design, and waste handling studies.
  • Deliver innovative engineering solutions to decommissioning challenges, working across the full life cycle of decommissioning projects.
  • Lead technical projects and discrete packages of work, interfacing with clients and coaching/leading junior team members.
  • Conduct optioneering and feasibility studies, decommissioning planning, and bespoke studies.
  • Develop and implement multi-phase decommissioning plans, scheduling, and sequencing.
  • Prepare method statements, design risk assessments, and tender documents for decommissioning works.
Requirements
  • BSc/MSc or BEng/MEng in a relevant nuclear engineering, decommissioning, waste management, or engineering field.
  • Experience in nuclear decommissioning or waste management projects, or in nuclear operations/nuclear power generation, or translatable experience in a similarly highly regulated industry.
  • Willingness to obtain a security clearance.
  • 5+ years professional engineering/technical specialist experience.
