We are seeking an experienced Senior Land and Compensation Manager to join our team at SSE Transmission. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the cost-effective, safe, and secure operation of our transmission network.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks and challenges to legal rights in property and land, ensuring the long-term operation of the transmission network.
- Coordinate the retention, updating, and upgrading of land rights, and associated compensation claims, with a focus on negotiation and assessment.
- Implement the securing of land rights through the promotion of necessary wayleaves and compulsory purchase orders.
- Engage with stakeholders, including landowners, developers, tenants, and statutory bodies, to develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- Excellent understanding of relevant sections of the Electricity Act 1989, the Land Compensation (Scotland) Act 1963, the Land Compensation Act 1973, and the Compulsory Purchase Act 1965.
- Membership of the Rural Professional Group of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers.
