We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Children's Social Worker to join our team at Liverpool City Council's Youth Justice Team.
This is a full-time role offering a competitive pay rate of £37 per hour and a range of benefits, including hybrid working, mileage reimbursement, and access to free training and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Share a passion for helping and supporting children and their families and victims of youth crime, to improve their lives and make communities safer.
- Work hard to prevent and reduce youth crime by proactive engagement, providing creative and effective interventions and programmes which are restorative, trauma informed and which take a whole family approach.
- Manage a caseload of youth justice cases, working innovatively with young people from diverse backgrounds and engaging them; their families and other professionals to assess, develop and deliver interventions and activities that support their personal and social skills and participation in society.
- Undertake regular Court duty, providing advice and support to young people, their families and the judiciary.
- Write reports to a high standard and within tight timeframes for Youth Magistrates and Crown Courts and to confidently present these reports to the Court in person as required.
- Social Work Degree or equivalent
- Social Work England registered
- Enhanced DBS
- Experience in Children and Youth Justice
