We are looking for a Radiology Operations Coordinator to deliver extensive administrative support to our Consultant Radiologists, the radiology team, and private patients. The successful candidate will ensure effective administration across all areas of patient appointment scheduling and reception responsibilities, manage referral documentation, and handle inquiries via face-to-face interactions, phone calls, and emails. This role demands strict compliance with established policies, effective workload management, and collaboration with administrative colleagues to achieve departmental goals. Please note that this position involves direct patient interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently coordinate patient appointment scheduling and reception tasks
- Process referral documentation and communicate with GPs, Consultants, and other healthcare professionals regarding imaging reports and appointments
- Address face-to-face, telephone, and email inquiries with professionalism and empathy
- Effectively manage workload and assist administrative colleagues in fulfilling departmental objectives
- Utilize CRIS and PACS computer systems proficiently
- Contribute to the seamless operation of Radiology services
- Facilitate image transfers between healthcare facilities
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong organizational and IT capabilities
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Dependable and professional demeanor
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures is advantageous
- Previous experience in a healthcare administrative capacity is preferred
- Capability to multitask and prioritize effectively
