Job Title: Barbering Tutor

Job Type: Full-time

Location: Correctional Facility

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Barbering Tutor to join our team at Dovetail and Slate. As a Barbering Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and training to adult learners in a correctional facility setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Barbering NVQ training up to Level 2
  • Identify individual learner needs and develop personalized learning plans
  • Continuously review learner progression and adjust training to meet their needs
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive lesson plans to address training needs
  • Actively gather feedback from learners and improve curriculum content
  • Engage and motivate learners to increase retention

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Barbering
  • Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics
  • A Degree or professional qualification relevant to the work
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies
  • Excellent team working and communication skills
