We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Barbering Tutor to join our team in a prison education setting. As a Barbering Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Barbering NVQ training to adult learners, helping them to develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in their careers.
About the Role:This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week. You will be required to deliver Barbering NVQ training up to Level 2, as well as identifying individual learner needs and creating personalized learning plans. You will also be responsible for reviewing learner progression and making adjustments to the curriculum as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality Barbering NVQ training to adult learners
- Identify individual learner needs and create personalized learning plans
- Review learner progression and make adjustments to the curriculum as needed
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive lesson plans for all sessions
- Actively gain feedback from learners and other sources, reviewing and improving curriculum content accordingly
- Engage and motivate learners to increase retention
- NVQ Level 2 in Barbering
- Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics
- A Degree or professional qualification appropriate to the work
- Teaching Qualification
- Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies
