The Role: Support Specialist - Homelessness Services

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Bank Project Workers. You will play a vital role in supporting customers who have experienced homelessness, helping them maximize their potential and achieve greater independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to empower customers facing homelessness to reach their full potential.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of customer needs and develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and guiding them effectively.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers, ensuring they maintain personal choice, privacy, and dignity throughout their journey.
  • Collaborate with external support networks to enhance customer confidence, health, and well-being. Offer guidance and encouragement in pursuing employment and educational opportunities.
  • Respond effectively to occasional emergency situations, demonstrating composure and resourcefulness.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed written records, ensuring clear documentation of customer interactions and progress.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working with adults who have experienced homelessness.
  • A positive and flexible attitude with a strong commitment to making a difference.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills, along with proficient functional literacy and numeracy abilities.
  • The capacity to adapt quickly to changing priorities while meeting deadlines and targets effectively.
  • NVQ3 in Health and Social Care or a willingness to pursue this qualification is essential.
