As a key member of the New Appointment Group team, the Surface Mount Assembly Technician will play a crucial role in the manufacture of electronic assemblies within our production department.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble small volume surface mount PCBs by hand, including operation of our reflow oven
- Manufacture cable assemblies
- Operate and maintain production equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet production deadlines and achieve quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes
Requirements:
- Strong technical knowledge of surface mount technology and PCB assembly
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
- Basic understanding of quality control principles and procedures
