LCV / Van Technician Job Opportunity

Ford & Slater Limited, a leading DAF Truck dealer group with 16 locations across the UK, is seeking a skilled LCV / Van Technician to join their team at their Leicester depot.

About the Role

As an LCV / Van Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of LCVs and Vans, carrying out safety inspections, and preparing vehicles for MOTs. You will also diagnose faults, ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturers' procedures, and participate in breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and maintaining LCVs and Vans
  • Carrying out safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOTs
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturers' procedures
  • Participating in breakdowns
  • Completing paperwork, including job cards and service records
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Technician / Mechanic in the LCV, Van, HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car, or associated sector
  • Technical knowledge and ability to diagnose faults
  • Ability to carry out safety inspections and prepare vehicles for MOTs
  • Full UK driving licence
