Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Architect to lead our hospitality design team in our London Studio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all design phases for interior projects, establishing the vision, leading the team, and interacting extensively with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement overall design strategies for hospitality projects
  • Direct and manage a team of designers to complete design and technical drawings
  • Review and provide feedback on design and technical drawings prepared by junior designers
  • Ensure engineering drawings comply with design solutions
  • Collaborate with technical staff to resolve inconsistencies in drawings
  • Research and select fixtures and finishes for projects
  • Obtain client approval and integrate design elements into overall design
  • Produce, review, and finalize space plans for projects
  • Develop and manage design budgets
  • Ensure adherence to budget and notify PM and/or client of potential variances
  • Manage the work of other designers and provide feedback on work product
  • Organize and conduct client interviews to determine space needs and requirements
  • Provide ongoing information to clients on design specifications

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of architecture or design school, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial hospitality interior design projects

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of design principles and aesthetics
  • Extensive knowledge of space planning methodology
  • Proficient with furniture layout concepts
  • Expert sketching and rendering skills
  • Expert interior architecture detailing skills
  • Extensive knowledge of CDs and procedures
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of contract administration
  • Intermediate MS Office Suite skills
  • Advanced Revit skills
  • Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • Extensive presentation and graphic communication skills
