Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide house-related support to ensure relevant support is provided to customers to encourage them to maximize their own potential and level of independence.
  • Manage health and safety responsibilities within a social housing environment.
  • Assess customers' needs, write, and update support plans.
  • Work with statutory and non-statutory agencies on behalf of customers, actively encouraging choice and involvement, or acting as an advocate when required.
  • Develop professional relationships with customers, using appropriate and clear communication to ensure their personal choice, privacy, and dignity are maintained.
Requirements:
  • A sound knowledge of housing management, including voids and arrears management, and an understanding of occupancy agreements.
  • Experience of motivating and encouraging individuals to reach their goals.
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, sourcing innovative solutions to problems that allow customers independence to be enhanced.
  • Some experience of working with customers with mental health and/or complex needs.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel or similar.
  • NVQ3 in Health & Social Care, or willing to work towards.
