The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Dermatology to join our team. As a Consultant in Dermatology, you will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients with skin conditions, including routine and urgent clinics, and contributing to the development of the Dermatology Service in Rotherham.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical dermatology services within in-patient and outpatient settings, including routine and urgent clinics.
- Contribute to the development of the Dermatology Service in Rotherham, including specialist clinics and educational programs.
- Work in partnership with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective patient treatment and care.
- Deliver the highest standards of care, with a particular focus on patient safety, functional outcomes, patient experience, and performance.
- Participate in clinical governance activities, including local, regional, and national audit participation, guideline writing/updating, and other relevant projects.
We are looking for a Consultant in Dermatology with:
- Experience of and enthusiasm for clinical teaching of postgraduate doctors, non-medical staff, and students.
- Critical appraisal skills and knowledge of audit principles.
- Good communication and empathy skills with patients.
- Ability to work as a member of a team, both through communication and sharing workload.
- Ability to manage high-pressure situations and prioritize workload.
- Eligibility to be included on the Specialist Register with the GMC.
