About the Role
The Senior Sous Chef will support the Head Chef in ensuring that all food preparation and dishes meet the high standards set by the Company. Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership and responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef
- Communicating with the Head Chef during service to ensure timely and accurate dish preparation
- Ensuring the use of correct and consistent ingredients to maintain quality standards
- Assisting with the training and development of the kitchen brigade
- Controlling wastage and maintaining food costs
- Ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and presentation
- Assisting with the operation of various sections within the Kitchen
- Maintaining a positive relationship between the Restaurant and the Kitchen, focusing on respect and teamwork
