We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installations Lecturer to join our team at North Hertfordshire College. As an Electrical Installations Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning to our students, ensuring they achieve their full potential and gain the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the electrical industry.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Electrical department and contribute to the development of our students. As an Electrical Installations Lecturer, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering electrical installation theory and practical sessions to students of varying abilities
  • Developing and delivering dynamic learning programmes that respond to up-to-date industry practice
  • Supporting students in research activities and providing relevant advice to help them achieve the required outcomes for their independent learning
  • Liaising with curriculum colleagues and other support services to monitor and review individual student attendance, progress, and achievement
  • Supporting students to participate in work experience and negotiate an appropriate placement with internal colleagues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification or working towards it
  • Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy and experience of using IT applications
  • Relevant Sector Qualification
  • Experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning or relevant industry experience
  • Ability to inspire and engage students to achieve their full potential and a passion for teaching and learning
