Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in providing support to students with trauma.

About the School

The school is an all-through Alternation Provision school that specialises in Trauma and SEMH. It has been awarded 'Good' from Ofsted and has been named 'Employer of the Year' at the National Children and Young People Awards in 2021.

The school's classrooms are fitted with modern technology, an outside learning area, and private study stations, creating a personal learning experience for each child. The school is working towards the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Award.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will create a learning environment where emotional well-being and academic success are combined to enable each child to succeed. They will provide exceptional support to children and teenagers with trauma and mental health difficulties, improving student's emotional well-being and emotional dysregulation.

The role involves working within the Trauma-informed practice model and requires a valid Driving Licence for potential outreach work. The successful candidate will earn up to £500 per week on a PAYE basis.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a 2:1 in Psychology from a top 30 UK university and extensive work experience in SEN or AP schools. The ideal candidate will have great communication and interpersonal skills and be passionate and committed to providing support to students of various ages with trauma and SEMH.
