As an Employment Advisor with Maximus, you will play a vital role in helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve their career goals. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to motivate and empower customers to succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of customers, providing coaching and guidance to help them prepare for interviews and job searching
  • Conduct in-depth assessments to understand customers' circumstances, preferences, and barriers to progression
  • Develop personalized action plans with sequenced interventions and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with local specialist services to address specific issues, such as substance misuse, anger management, or debt advice
  • Identify recruitment needs of employers and undertake tailored pre-screens and group assessments
  • Co-produce effective in-work support plans with participants and employers
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to ensure excellent customer service

Requirements

  • Customer-focused with a strong commitment to customer care
  • Strong team player with a positive and flexible approach to work and colleagues
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
  • Experience delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 products and modern digital technologies
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to plan and organize workload to meet targets and deadlines
