Support Children with Trauma and Emotional Needs

Teaching Personnel is partnering with a remarkable nature-focused school in East Grinstead that caters to primary and secondary-aged pupils dealing with trauma, PTSD, neglect, and mental health needs. We're seeking a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students, helping them engage with their learning and develop essential life skills.
  • Assist in creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement tailored strategies for students affected by trauma.
  • Participate in outdoor and experiential learning activities that foster connection and resilience.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those who have experienced trauma.
  • A patient and empathetic approach, with strong communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for supporting the mental health and well-being of young people.
