Job Title: Team Leader Trainee

Join TCV as a Team Leader Trainee and play a key role in delivering our Green Skills program, a three-year initiative that aims to improve biodiversity along Scotland's iconic John Muir Way.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to lead a team of trainees in practical biodiversity tasks and projects along the John Muir Way. As a Team Leader Trainee, you will be responsible for line managing the trainees, delivering practical training, and contributing to project evaluation, local budget management, and program promotion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of six Green Skills Trainees per year, located in Edinburgh, Falkirk, North Lanarkshire, and East Dunbartonshire.
  • Manage the delivery of practical training and biodiversity enhancement tasks on partner sites.
  • Liaise with greenspace teams in Local Authorities and Scottish Canals to agree sites and projects.
  • Contribute to project evaluation, local budget management, and program promotion.
  • Work closely with the People and Admin Coordinator to manage the schedule of external training, trainee attendance, annual leave, onboarding, and program exiting.
Requirements
  • Previous management of a training program or structured delivery model.
  • Mentoring and/or coaching young people.
  • A passion for supporting young people to achieve their goals.
  • Knowledge and understanding of practical biodiversity projects.
