Job Title: SEND Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join our team at a Special School in Woodford. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to students with a range of special educational needs.

About the Role:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with moderate to severe learning difficulties and ASD.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans to meet individual student needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Monitor student progress and report to the senior leadership team.
  • Ensure a safe and structured learning environment.
  • Contribute to school initiatives aimed at promoting student well-being and achievement.
Requirements:
  • Experience in teaching SEND students is desirable, not essential.
  • Strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies.
  • Ability to engage students with complex learning needs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
