Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation and Benefits Professional to join our team at National Grid. As a key member of our compensation team, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and communicating our global compensation program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the ongoing design, implementation, and improvement of our global compensation program, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to People Partners and internal stakeholders, providing expert insights on global compensation to inform business decision-making.
  • Develop and implement effective reward communication strategies to ensure stakeholders understand and appreciate the different elements of our reward program.
  • Support the design of an effective Annual Performance Plan (APP) process, ensuring it is streamlined and efficient.
  • Collaborate with the team to create global compensation policy documentation, outlining roles, responsibilities, processes, and key deliverables.
  • Interpret legislation and tax rules regulating global compensation to ensure all policies and processes are implemented in a legally compliant manner.
Requirements
  • Between 1-2 years of experience in reward or global compensation, with a good knowledge of best practices, processes, and key principles.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience drawing conclusions from data analysis to enhance decision-making for reports and presentations.
  • Ability to build confident relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal skills, particularly related to global compensation.
  • Holds external qualifications (desirable).
  • Good knowledge of SuccessFactors (desirable).
What You'll Get

A competitive salary between £45,000 – £55,000, dependent on capability, as well as a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme.
