Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Vehicle Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our commissioning team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our autonomous vehicles are rigorously commissioned and delivered to our customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commissioning and Delivery: Lead the commissioning phase of vehicle delivery, ensuring that vehicles are thoroughly tested and validated before being delivered to customers.
  • Reporting and Communication: Ensure up-to-date reporting and communication on the status of vehicle commissioning, including regular updates to internal stakeholders and customers.
  • Logistics and Resource Planning: Organize the planning and global logistics of vehicle commissioning, including hiring and contracting resources as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Drive the continual improvement of the commissioning process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal teams, including the Reference Platform team, Fleet Readiness team, and Fleet and Solutions teams, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Team Leadership: Engage with team members and colleagues to create an environment that supports collaboration and mutual understanding, and contribute to hiring and onboarding by defining role responsibilities and requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Mathematics).
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant professional experience in industry or academia, with experience in operational deployment of robots and autonomous vehicles.
  • Skills: Proven record of leading and delivering projects as part of a team, effective technical communication and leadership skills, and an appreciation of robotics and generative AI.
