Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive administrative professional to join our dynamic team at Brighton and Sussex Medical School. As a Research Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in coordinating all aspects of the postgraduate research student journey, from admissions to graduation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a confident communicator with strong IT and organizational skills to join our team. You will be responsible for administering all matters related to postgraduate research students, planning and running PGR induction, managing PGR data records, and providing administrative support for school/faculty research activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of the postgraduate research student journey, including admissions, progression, and graduation.
  • Plan and run PGR induction programs to ensure a smooth transition for new students.
  • Manage PGR data records on the university system, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Provide administrative support for school/faculty research activities, including procurement, expenses, and invoices.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a high standard of support and service to postgraduate research students.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident communicator with strong IT and organizational skills. You will also need to be able to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities.
