About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cancer MDT Manager to join our dynamic and progressive team at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Cancer Service Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective leadership and performance of our cancer services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Line manage the cancer services team, ensuring regular appraisals and 1:1s are conducted, and identifying training needs or areas of development.
  • Work closely with the team to identify delays in cancer pathways and escalate to the Cancer Performance Manager.
  • Attend MDTs quarterly to ensure they run effectively and efficiently.
  • Train new staff in the use of virtual telecommunication equipment and ensure all meetings are updated to run smoothly.
  • Attend and participate in annual operational meetings for each MDT.
  • Work closely with the Cancer Performance Manager and Cancer Operations Manager to deliver key cancer targets and identify ongoing internal process changes.
  • Support the cancer data team by ensuring complete, accurate, and consistent recording of information by MDT outcomes and patient tracking.
  • Take responsibility for the even distribution of workload within the team and initiate amendments or improvements where necessary.

  • Degree or equivalent training and experience gained in post.
  • Recognised supervisory/management qualification.
