Job Opportunity: Health and Wellbeing Activator

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile individual to join our team of Health and Wellbeing Activators in North Lincolnshire.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering health, fitness, sport, and physical activity opportunities to improve the health and wellbeing of adults and young people.

Our aim is to increase physical activity levels, while also impacting on wider outcomes such as health improvement, youth development, physical wellbeing, mental and emotional wellbeing, community safety, and social prescribing outcomes.

You will work across our leisure facility sites, providing mentorship and guidance to Health and Fitness Assistants, conducting building and equipment checks, and acting as a keyholder at some of our smaller sites.

Key requirements include holding an accredited Level 2 exercise qualification recognized by the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) or a Level 2 National Governing Body of Sport Qualification, ideally in a range of sports.

You must have experience in planning, coaching, leading, and facilitating innovative programmes of health, fitness, sport, and physical activity, with a sound knowledge and understanding of the benefits of sport and physical activity in improving health, mental wellbeing, and public health outcomes.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of social prescribing and knowledge of changing behaviour practice, who is physically fit and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of an ever-evolving health and fitness programme.
