About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHSFT. As a key member of our Primary Care Mental Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality evidence-based psychological therapy to individuals with common mental health problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based low-intensity psychological interventions to patients with common mental health problems, adhering to NICE guidelines and the Talking Therapies manual stepped care model.
  • Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service and develop programmes of care packages.
  • Assess and support individuals with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Undertake patient-centred assessments, identifying areas where the individual wishes to see change and/or recovery, and make accurate assessments of risk to self and others.
  • Make decisions on suitability of new referrals, adhering to the service referral protocols, and refer unsuitable clients to the relevant service or back to the referral agent as necessary.
  • Engage in regular clinical and case management supervision, clinical skills sessions, and deliver group therapy.
  • Attend additional training as and when required.
