About the Role

NHS Professionals Limited is seeking a skilled Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our team on a flexible bank shift basis. As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a community setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct robust assessments of patients with mental health difficulties, identifying appropriate care pathways and ensuring the least restrictive option to meet their needs.
  • Signpost patients to appropriate care providers, including primary and tertiary care, and attend daily Red Board meetings.
  • Raise concerns to senior staff for support and management, and complete documentation and planning care for patients.
  • Present cases to Multi-Disciplinary Teams for discussion around care pathways, and liaise with colleagues from nursing, occupational therapy, medics, psychology, and admin.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Community Psychiatric Nurse in a UK hospital environment within the last 3 years.
  • Compliance with NMC Professional Registration and current nursing practices.
  • A full UK driving license and own vehicle (dependent on the Trust).
