Compensation: £15-£18 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary ongoing

This role presents a unique opportunity for a seasoned Collections Operations Leader to manage the receivables and debt recovery processes for both public and private sector clients. Reporting directly to the Head of Order to Cash, the Collections Operations Leader will focus on enhancing collection results for the sector and its clientele by fostering a culture of ongoing improvement driven by data and insights. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in commercial debt management and demonstrate a proven track record in driving continuous enhancements within a collections framework. This position requires a proactive team player capable of engaging and effectively communicating on intricate issues while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a mid-sized team dedicated to servicing multiple clients.
  • Meet and exceed internal and client-specific performance metrics for the Receivables and Debt Recovery function.
  • Inspire, develop, and enhance the skills of team members within the collections unit.
  • Identify, advocate for, and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance client and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Order to Cash to manage departmental financials.

Essential Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a mid to large-scale collections environment.
  • Commercially astute with experience in outsourced operations.
  • Proven experience collaborating with third-party debt recovery agencies.
  • Hands-on experience in analyzing workflows and data to pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Familiarity with change management methodologies such as LEAN and Six Sigma.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations pertinent to the collections sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Awareness of IT systems and change management.
