Job Title: SEND Learning Support Assistant

Job Type: Full-time

Location: BS32, South Gloucestershire

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with a pupil with SEND in a Year 4 class at a 3-form entry primary school in the BS32 area. The successful candidate will work closely with the school's SENDCo, building strong relationships with the pupil and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to assess the pupil's development and progress.
  • Have high expectations for the pupil's success and provide a stimulating and purposeful learning environment.
  • Be flexible and adapt activities to meet the pupil's needs and emotional requirements.
  • Assess and communicate the pupil's successes and developments to the class teacher and parents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with pupils with ASD and/or SEMH needs.
  • Reliability, flexibility, and a strong commitment to supporting pupils with SEND.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
