Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a SEND Learning Support Assistant role. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the teacher in planning, preparing and delivering lessons to students with SEND
  • Assist students with their learning, including providing one-to-one support and small group work
  • Help to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, teachers and parents to ensure the best possible outcomes for students with SEND
  • Contribute to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) and support the implementation of strategies to meet the needs of students with SEND

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with students with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
