Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Manual QA Tester to join our team at Moody's Investors Service. As a Manual QA Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in delivering high-quality products and services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requirements are clear and well-defined
  • Document and report any issues found during testing
  • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage
  • Own the test coverage for your team, proactively managing coverage and ensuring that all released code has been thoroughly tested
  • Achieve nearly zero high or medium priority bugs in production

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with manual exploratory and scripted testing
  • Ability to verify results of manual tests using logging and monitoring tools
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Coding experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python
  • Previous experience with test automation frameworks, such as Cypress or Selenium Webdriver
  • Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools
  • Knowledge of GIT
  • Practical experience turning complex product requirements into clear and robust tests
  • Good commercial testing experience
  • Understanding of shift-left test approach
