We are seeking an experienced SEND Teacher to join our team at a client school in Truro. The successful candidate will work closely with the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to design, establish, and run a non-designated provision within the school. This provision will cater to children and young people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs, including behaviors of concern, from age 5-16.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the SENCO to develop and implement individualized education plans for students with SEND.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure the learning needs of all SEND students are met.
- Design and deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEND.
- Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Work closely with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
- Enhanced DBS clearance and registration with the Update Service.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Competitive daily rates paid through the PAYE system.
