Main Purpose of The Job:
As a key member of the Irlam Associates Group team, the successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals, embodying the company's core values. This role involves managing stock and customer expectations in a fast-paced environment, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) for Parts Excellence and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will thrive in a challenging and dynamic role, overseeing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and equipment, as well as ensuring accurate traceability. Regular meetings with customers will be required, and training will be provided to support daily activities in a busy store environment. The role also involves travel between various locations, including airports and other business hubs, as needed. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, and requires a full UK driving license.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Materials Issue: Oversee daily activities in the Parts department, prioritizing customer service and communication. Coach and develop staff, leading by example and promoting the company's core values. Monitor KPIs, implement action plans, and meet business objectives. Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on parts and services. Issue materials with accurate documentation, source locally as needed, and prepare stock orders for delivery. Ensure proper booking of parts, deliver materials to work areas, update the Workshop Supervisor, and coordinate parts delivery.
2. Goods Inward: Inspect and receive deliveries, unload vehicles safely, and operate the Forklift Truck (if licensed). Organize the quarantine area, notify suppliers of damaged goods or short shipments, and locate and label new stock items. Ensure parts are sorted for collection or delivery to the correct locations.
3. Stock Control: Participate in stock counts and reconcile against electronic inventory records. Ensure stock items have barcodes, maintain accurate traceability of all materials/items, and store items appropriately based on size and weight.
