General Responsibilities in Community and Acute Care

Salary Range: £96,963 - £128,841

Includes Distant Island Allowance: £1,279

Potential Relocation Expenses: Up to £8,000

We invite applications for the Pediatric Consultant position. Candidates must be on the GMC Specialist Register with a License to Practice or be eligible for inclusion on the Specialist Register within six months of the interview date. Full support will be provided while working towards this. We are also open to considering applications for job sharing.

You will be stationed at Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway, a modern 97-bed Rural General Hospital (Plus). Working on Scotland's largest island offers a unique opportunity to blend contemporary and progressive clinical practice with an unmatched lifestyle.

NHS Terms and Conditions of the New Consultant Grade (Scotland) 2004 apply. The position entails 10 (8 DCC + 2 SPAs) PAs per week, with the possibility of up to 2 EPAs per week and an 8% availability allowance, subject to an agreed job plan. The on-call rota is 1:2.

The successful candidate will be required to register with the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) Scheme.
