About the Role

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team in the North Midlands region. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or hydraulics, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will be required to have a full UK driving license and to be proficient in fault finding and repair.

The role will involve working to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client's premises. You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining van stock, completing job sheets, timesheets, and purchase requisition and parts paperwork within the required timescales.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, with excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will also need to have good communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites in a safe, professional, and cost-effective manner.
  • Work to a planned schedule of service and maintenance jobs at our client's premises.
  • Monitor and maintain van stock, ensuring that it is sufficient for the day-to-day maintenance of the fleet.
  • Complete job sheets, timesheets, and purchase requisition and parts paperwork within the required timescales.
  • Take responsibility for all equipment and tooling, ensuring that it is in a safe condition for the type of work being undertaken.
Requirements
  • Strong background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or hydraulics.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Proficient in fault finding and repair.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
