Swimming Instructor

We are seeking dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our teams as a Swim Teacher/Lifeguard at Kings Camps. As a Swim Teacher/Lifeguard, you will be responsible for delivering engaging 30-45 minute sessions with mixed ability groups aged between 5-17, focusing on building water confidence and improving swimming techniques.
About the RoleReporting to the Camp Manager and working alongside a like-minded team, you will be working with 3 to 8 groups of mixed ability children, with a maximum of 16 children in the pool. Session times and pool availability will vary, but we typically run sessions between 9.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality, engaging swimming sessions to children of all abilities
- Ensure the welfare of children is paramount at all times, supervising children during their lunch breaks, participating in swimming sessions, and overseeing safe use of equipment
- Record any incidents and maintain accurate records
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- 12 months experience as a swim teacher
- Up-to-date SEQ Level 2 or STA Level 2 certification
- Current Lifeguard Qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award to Swimming Teachers and Coach (NRASTC)
- Experience working with children aged 5-17
- Ability to plan and deliver safe, engaging swimming sessions
- Knowledge of conducting depth testing and risk assessments
- High-quality, enjoyable, and worthwhile experience
