Job Title: Special Educational Needs Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator to join our team at Recruited UK. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting and supporting the progress and achievement of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in our school.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing learner support, identifying and assessing the special educational needs of young people, and monitoring planned support to ensure that any barriers to learning are overcome. You will work closely with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to provide a comprehensive and inclusive education for all students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage learner support to ensure that the special educational needs of young people are identified and assessed.

  • Work closely with teachers, support staff, and other stakeholders to provide a comprehensive and inclusive education for all students.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote the progress and achievement of students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the needs of students with SEN are met.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • DfES qualified teacher status
  • Degree level qualification
  • Possession of or working towards the NASENCo or equivalent qualification
  • Proven successful teaching experience
  • Experience of supporting young people in an education setting in overcoming barriers to learning
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
