Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Hygiene Team Leader to join our team in a permanent capacity. As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and quality in our food production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily hygiene checks throughout the production line
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve quality issues
  • Ensure accurate recording of hygiene tasks
  • Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc hygiene audits
  • Support product and process improvements to eliminate problems
  • Oversee and assist with deep clean shutdowns on heavy machinery
  • Work with other departments to maintain high standards
  • Support the Quality Control and Hygiene teams with ad-hoc tasks

Requirements:

  • Significant hygiene experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Previous supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Knowledge of HACCP principles and COSHH, with a Level 2 Food Safety certificate
  • Able to work in a hands-on role while managing a team
  • Flexibility to cover different shift patterns and cover others when needed
  • Great communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of IT, including MS Office
  • A flexible and adaptable attitude towards the role
