Position: Business Analyst - Data Initiatives

Salary: £70,000

Scalexperts is collaborating with a leading analytics firm seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is pivotal as the organization undergoes a significant transformation in its data and reporting processes. The selected candidate will be responsible for defining new data and business requirements essential for the reconfiguration of trading systems utilized across the industry.

Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement, having successfully delivered intricate data projects in prior positions. This role emphasizes the importance of keeping senior stakeholders updated to facilitate informed decision-making. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with producing both high-level and detailed business requirement documentation, making this an excellent opportunity for those aspiring to transition into Product Ownership in the future.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • 4-8 years of experience in a comparable role, such as Business Analyst or Data Business Analyst
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with experience from requirements gathering through to implementation
  • Familiarity with defining API specifications is highly advantageous
  • Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, capable of engaging with teams at all organizational levels
  • Experience in contributing to and delivering large-scale data and analytics projects
  • Prior experience in an analytics or SaaS environment is a significant plus
  • Understanding of data science principles is beneficial but not mandatory
