Job Title: Supply Chain Manager - Beauty Industry

About Us: The Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) is a leading professional body for procurement and supply chain management. We are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Manager to join our team.

Job Summary: We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the movement of goods, from manufacturers and suppliers to customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing every stage of the production flow from purchasing raw materials to delivering the final product.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-to-End Supply Chain Management: Responsible for end-to-end site supply chain activities, Inventory and Operations Planning Strategy (SIOP) with maximum impact on business results and customer service.
  2. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure consistent and reliable implementation of supply chain activities across the site to support the long-term business plan to ensure we maximize utilization of installed capacity and reduce costs.
  3. Supply Chain Planning: Schedule and forecast the right volumes of materials, goods, and products inbound to the business from its supply chain companies.
  4. Inventory Management: Move materials, goods, and products (including importing and exporting) to ensure that they are in the right place to meet customer demand.
  5. Performance Metrics: Work with agreed KPI's to measure success (Short-, Medium- and Long-term plans), develop actions and drive the delivery with an ability to communicate progress across various levels of the organization.
  6. Demand Planning: Manage the Demand Planning process, underpinned by a deep understanding of the business seasonality, production capacity constraints which drives our safety stock, historical customer behavior, and future customer forecasts.
  7. Supply Chain Optimization: Actively monitor sales forecasts to identify any effect on the supply chain, implementing efficiency strategies and developing supply chain management procedures.
  8. Data Analysis: Interpret and analyze complex data and trends and develop recommendations and strategies based on the analysis.
  9. Team Collaboration: Working with the wider Supply Chain team input into the analysis and investment proposals that align with the business needs and input into the preparation of budgets and proposals.
  10. Capacity Planning: Work with the wider site team & strive to improve and execute capacity planning process to align and balance supply with demand to provide input for labor, raw materials, and equipment requirements.
  11. Continuous Improvement: Work with the wider site team to drive continuous improvement across supply chain, planning, and logistics related activities and maintain all variables within the ERP system- IFS to optimize efficiency.
  12. Materials Planning: Overall responsibility and accountability for the materials planning determining how much and what type of materials and products to hold where in the supply chain which includes: distribution and replenishment plans.
  13. Team Management: Set department objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.
  14. Health and Safety: Ensure that your team operates in accordance with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.
  15. Performance Reviews: Complete regular performance reviews, manage attendance, holidays, disciplinary issues, and procedures as appropriate.
  16. Warehouse Management: Manage and control the warehouse and goods in and out.
  17. Supply Chain Knowledge: Working closely with Group Supply Chain ordering raw materials.
  18. ERP System: Knowledge of ERP system IFS.
  19. Results Orientation: Results orientated with the ability to plan and prioritize multiple projects of self and others and to deliver against objectives and deadlines.
  20. Leadership and Change Management: Able to successfully lead and implement change, structure, and process and take a common-sense approach to encouraging continual cultural, technological, and operational transformation.
