Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom The Wildlife Trusts Full time £21,840
Position: Pensions Coordinator

Location: Flexible working arrangements available

Employment Type: Full Time, 35 hours per week

Contract Type: Permanent

The Wildlife Trusts represent a collaborative network of 46 charitable organizations, unified by a central body, the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts.

We are embarking on an exciting chapter in our 110-year legacy, with the launch of a bold new strategy aimed at fostering a vision for nature's recovery, characterized by rich biodiversity and thriving ecosystems, where both wildlife and communities flourish.

As a federation, we have successfully restored and managed some of the UK's most cherished natural habitats. Together, we oversee over 2,300 nature reserves, operate 123 visitor and educational centers, and manage 29 working farms. Our efforts include conducting research, advocating for wildlife and natural spaces under threat, and facilitating public access to nature.

In the past two decades, The Wildlife Trusts have been at the forefront of marine conservation in the UK.

We played a pivotal role in the establishment of the Marine and Coastal Access Act and have contributed significantly to the development of the UK's Marine Protected Areas network.

As a collective, The Wildlife Trusts stand as the largest marine non-governmental organization in the country. Joining us means becoming part of a leading group of dedicated and knowledgeable marine conservationists.

The coming years are crucial for shaping the future of our planet.

We must act swiftly to reverse the decline of wildlife and initiate large-scale recovery efforts to avert climate and ecological crises.

We understand that achieving this goal will necessitate significant, transformative changes in our operations, particularly in how we engage and empower communities to take action.

Role Overview:

If you are a skilled administrator seeking to support the People and Culture and Learning and Development teams during a transformative period at one of the UK's most respected nature charities, we have an exciting opportunity for you.

We are in search of a well-organized and proactive individual whose expertise will enable the 46 individual Wildlife Trusts and the central organization to work synergistically, maximizing our impact for both people and nature.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support across various functions, including training and development, recruitment, onboarding, and file management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude and flexibility to assist in other administrative areas as needed.

We value qualities such as passion, respect, trust, integrity, pragmatic activism, and diversity. We particularly encourage applications from individuals who are underrepresented in our sector, including those from minority backgrounds and individuals with disabilities.

The Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

As a Disability Confident employer, we are committed to offering interviews to candidates with disabilities who meet the essential criteria for the position.

We are also committed to enhancing the diversity of our workforce through our Levelling the Field recruitment initiative, ensuring that ethnic minority applicants who meet the essential criteria are given an interview.
