Job Summary:The Warehouse and Inventory Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing all warehousing, logistics, and inventory management operations for Recurrent Energy across the UK. This role will require frequent travel to our warehouses, sites, and storage facilities throughout the country.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Warehousing and Logistics Strategies: Align with Recurrent Energy's business goals and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Inventory Management: Oversee stock control and inventory management, ensuring accurate stock levels are maintained across all locations. Implement systems for tracking inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment and minimizing stock discrepancies.
- Logistics and Distribution: Manage and coordinate the logistics of goods, ensuring efficient and cost-effective distribution across the UK. Develop relationships with transport providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and manage a team of warehousing and logistics staff as the business grows. Provide leadership and direction to ensure high performance, motivation, and professional development of the team.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as procurement, finance, and operations to ensure seamless supply chain coordination. Liaise with external partners, suppliers, and contractors to maintain efficient and reliable service levels.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience in warehousing, logistics, and stock control management, with a track record of setting up and running these functions successfully.
- Inventory Management Systems: In-depth knowledge of inventory management systems and logistics software.
- Travel and Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the UK to our various warehouses and storage sites.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable.
- Annual Leave: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
