HR Advisor

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our team at South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority. As an HR Advisor, you will play a key role in providing support to the People Services Team, assisting in the delivery of an efficient and effective HR Operations service.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide support on all HR processes in accordance with relevant policies and legislation.
- Maintain accurate employee records through the HRIS system in line with GDPR and manage the Ticketing system.
- Support the onboarding of new starters, producing offer letters, contracts of employment, and carrying out all pre-employment checks.
- Provide first-line case management support, advice, and guidance to managers on sickness absence, conduct, capability, RTW, and general disciplinary and grievances.
- Support the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) and work closely with the HR Advisors to ensure all training is up-to-date and relevant.
- Support the administration of the Annual Performance Review cycle, ensuring all data is captured and stored via the HRIS system as directed by the Head of HR Operations and HR Advisors.
- Provide reports/MI as required to support the People Services Team and key SYMCA customers.
- Previous experience of working within a HR and Talent Acquisition function.
- Confident working on your own initiative and as part of a team, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy of work.
- Ability to manage and prioritize workloads and conflicting demands.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly.
- Experience handling confidential and sensitive data.
- Good practical experience in using Microsoft Office applications.
