Job Title: Quality Control Engineer

At Workshop Recruitment, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Engineer to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to oversee the quality of production equipment and processes. The successful candidate will have experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including metrology/calibration/FARO Arm CMM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review production documentation and inspect the quality of production equipment.
  • Oversee the non-conformance and change management process across the production cycle.
  • Monitor build processes and inspect components throughout manufacturing.
  • Support instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
  • Conduct inspections and assessments using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment.
  • Inspect painted components and assess the quality of welds.
  • Report on non-conformances to specifications and drawings.
Requirements:
  • HNC/D or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience.
  • Experience in Quality Inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, certification, client specifications, and standards.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage workloads and handle competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary: £28,000-£35,000.

  • Basic hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 13:00, and Friday from 08:30 to 13:00.
