About the Role:We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to oversee the quality of production equipment and processes. The successful candidate will have experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including metrology/calibration/FARO Arm CMM.
Key Responsibilities:- Review production documentation and inspect the quality of production equipment.
- Oversee the non-conformance and change management process across the production cycle.
- Monitor build processes and inspect components throughout manufacturing.
- Support instrumentation and equipment calibration activities.
- Conduct inspections and assessments using Faro 3D CMM measuring equipment.
- Inspect painted components and assess the quality of welds.
- Report on non-conformances to specifications and drawings.
- HNC/D or City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience.
- Experience in Quality Inspection within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Knowledge and understanding of various manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, certification, client specifications, and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage workloads and handle competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills to establish effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Competitive salary: £28,000-£35,000.
- Annual company pay review and individual merit award review.
- Basic hours: 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday from 08:30 to 13:00, and Friday from 08:30 to 13:00.
